Can't connect to the server

Greetings. Downloaded the 3.3.5a game client but not from the link that was posted at "How to connect" and changed text in realmlist.wtf to "set realmlist icecrown.ga" and saved the changes of course. Yet when I start the game what I get is what seems to be the starting screen of the official Blizzard WoW. What did I do wrong?
